OUR HISTORY
Rugby league was reintroduced to British Columbia in 2011 with the formation of British Columbia Rugby League (BCRL).
In 2020, the organization undertook a strategic rebrand, officially becoming Rugby League British Columbia (RLBC) to better reflect its role as the provincial governing body for the sport.
During its first decade, the league featured clubs from across the province, including the Lower Mainland, Kelowna, and Whistler, helping to establish a strong and competitive foundation for rugby league in British Columbia.
In 2021, RLBC reached a major milestone with the introduction of its first women’s competition, marking an important step toward inclusivity and the continued growth of the game.
